The ELICOS Standards 2018 focus ensuring that ELICOS providers customise courses to suit student needs. This webinar explores what is meant by customising courses and on how to enhance the individual student’s learning experience and yet still teach to the whole group. The more students are made to feel as individuals, the more they will participate in the program which in turn enhances the school’s sense of community. Personalising the student’s learning experience is key to a successful language program.
By the end of this workshop, participants will have the knowledge and skills to:
- Develop a wide range of strategies to determine individual student’s language learning needs
- Develop learning ideas that enable students to work collaboratively and to support each other in their language learning journey
- Encourage students to be creative, confident users of English both in and outside the classroom
