This event focuses on preparing ELICOS courses for accreditation and addition to scope. The event focuses on the ELICOS Standards 2018. Topics covered embrace key information to include in applications, as well as documents, processes and resources that need to be ready for a site audit.
By the end of this workshop, participants will have the knowledge & skills to apply for new ELICOS courses. Participants will have the knowledge and skills to:
- Develop key policy and process documents for ELICOS courses
- Prepare ELICOS assessments
- Identify and prepare essential teaching resources
- Develop course structure and content
Facilitated by: Lana Harasymiv
Lana Harasymiv has worked in education for 25 years with most of that time spent in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) education, including 12 years teaching and managing TESOL programs in Japan. She has worked as Director of Studies of both VET and English programs and has extensive experience in preparing both VET and ELICOS courses for accreditation and addition to scope. She is also experienced in successfully preparing RTOs for audits, including re-registration audits. She holds a Masters in Arts (TESOL) and two post-graduate diplomas in education. She is currently employed as the Director of Studies of English Programs, managing both ELICOS and foundation skill EAL programs.
