All too often ELICOS Departments find it difficult to implement professional development programs due to financial constraints or the inability to source appropriate professionals to conduct the professional development sessions. Yet professional development plays an integral part in the ELICOS Standards 2018 and in improving staff morale and professionalism
This webinar looks at creative, cost effective and easy-to-implement professional development activities to boost staff morale and develop a greater sense of community among teachers and managers.
The webinar also looks a documentation needed to maintain compliance with the ELICOS Standards 2018.

Facilitated by: Lana Harasymiv
Lana Harasymiv has worked in education for 25 years with most of that time spent in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) education, including 12 years teaching and managing TESOL programs in Japan. She has worked as Director of Studies of both VET and English programs and has extensive experience in preparing both VET and ELICOS courses for accreditation and addition to scope. She is also experienced in successfully preparing RTOs for audits, including re-registration audits. She holds a Masters in Arts (TESOL) and two post-graduate diplomas in education. She is currently employed as the Director of Studies of English Programs, managing both ELICOS and foundation skill EAL programs.
