ASQA’s recent RTO provider briefings identified assessment practices as a continuing area of critical non-compliance (only 26% of RTOs audited compliant with standard 1.8) contributing to a very real risk that without quality assessment practices, people holding qualifications may not have workplace standard skills or knowledge.

This webinar will explore strategies to ensure the quality and compliance of assessment tools including the potential hot spots:

  • Practical application of skills and knowledge

  • Assessment criteria

  • Clear instructions regarding the task to be performed

  • Effective and meaningful mapping

  • Third party evidence and processes
Facilitated by: Maree Thorne

As a consultant, Maree currently works with RTOs and other organisations conducting quality auditing, developing quality management systems and effective business and compliance solutions and developing RTO staff capability, as well as managing her own RTO which specialises in the delivery and assessment of an accredited course in vocational education and training quality and compliance.
