• Do you understand how Training Packages are changing under the New Standards?

• What are the components of new Training Packages?

• What are Companion Volumes

• What are the changes in training packages

• Do you know where to get information about Training Packages?

• Do you know how to read Training Packages to ensure compliant delivery?

• How can I maximise flexibility in delivery of a qualification or skills set?

Join Bernadette Delaney, the co-author of the NSSCs ‘Design Model for Streamlined Training Package Material’ in this engaging webinar, which focuses on unpacking a New Standards Training Package, a qualification and the units of competency within them.

The vast amount of information within a Training Package and its Companion Volumes is daunting: we will focus on how to unpack and get familiar with the contents, gain skills to unpack units of competence and understand how to translate these into compliant training or assessment strategies. Several example units of competence will be referred to across different industry sectors to ensure this learning may be more relevant to participants.

We will also discuss how Foundation Skills and LLN needs are embedded in the units of competence. This workshop will build confidence in using units of competence and provide practical solutions to tackle any new ones that come your way!

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, participants will have the knowledge and skills to:

• understand the background of training packages

• understand changes in training packages- New Standards

• understand the components of training packages

• interpret the new units of competency

• understand the importance of foundation skills and how they are presented

• understand the new assessment requirements, and
