By popular demand and after a sell out in 2013, ACPET is pleased to offer an updated and highly successful Skills Connect Fund webinar.  Understand the programs included in the Skills Connect Fund, critical aspects of the guidelines, developing a project and what can be included, the application process and contribution.

This webinar will cover the difference between the Skills Connect Fund and the National NWDF including the intent, outcomes, contribution, application process, role of the Industry Skill Councils and Skills Connect state/territory contacts.

With a skills or training needs analysis and/or workforce plan as a basis, identify the real business need that can be addressed by the Fund and the role of Registered Training Organisation partners. 

Position an application for success by highlighting the benefits, outcomes and outputs for enterprises and industry.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, participants will have the knowledge and skills to:

  • describe the purpose of Skills Connect Fund
  • identify the opportunities for their training institution and enterprise clients
  • understand what programs are included and what it can be used for
  • assess whether they or their clients are eligible to apply
  • determine who should be involved as partners, and
  • develop a comprehensive application.

Wendy Perry is a renowned Director, speaker, writer and innovator in Workforce Planning and Development, Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Small-Medium Enterprise (SME) capability - leading thinking, developing practice, translating strategy into action and growing the potential of clients and partners.  She is the Managing Director of Wendy Perry and Associates Pty Ltd, VET Strategist at WPAA and Head Workforce Planner at Workforce BluePrint.

Wendy holds a Master of Education, Vocational Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), Advanced Diploma of Management, Diploma of Quality Auditing, Diploma and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and Certificate IV in Small Business Management.  She has published numerous papers, toolkits, reports and resources on workforce planning, workforce development, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Vocational Education and Training, Applying Research and Information.
