Australia Indonesia Awards 2015
Monday, July 20 2015
The Australia Indonesia Awards honour Australians and Indonesians who have made significant contributions to the greater understanding and friendship between Indonesians and Australians
On Friday, 03 July 2015 at the AIA 70th Anniversary in Sydney the 2015 Australia Indonesia Awards were launched with nominations for these awards close on 31 August.
The aim of the Australia Indonesia Awards is to recognise and honour Australians and Indonesians who have made significant contributions to the greater understanding and friendship between Indonesians and Australians.
There are many people who are passionate about their Indonesian related activities, whatever field that may be. Some may receive publicity, but many are working away from the spotlight, but are dedicated in what they do. AIA would like to recognise and honour these Indonesians and Australians for their efforts, by expanding the program to not only include Australians but also our Indonesian counterparts.
The Awards Selection Panel, independent of the AIA Committee, is chaired by Bill Farmer AO, former Ambassador to Indonesia. Other panellists include Ross Taylor (former AIBC Vice President), Noke Kiroyan (Deputy Chair KADIN and former IABC President), Jon Soemarijono (pillar of the Indonesian community in NSW) and Peter Dawson (Chair of Nusa Tenggara Association and a former AIBC Chapter Chair for ACT).
This year the 3 award categories include:
• Community Work
The Business category includes education.trade, investment, professional services, business councils, trade promotion, etc.
Please note Nominations are made online at Australia-Indonesia-Awards. Please click here for the attached Nominations Flyer.
