Special Hobart Workshop by popular demand - Laurie Kelly, Secrets of good training

Monday, September 15 2014

If you attended the Skills Tasmania Confrence in June this year you would have heard Laurie Kelly enchant all the delegates with his amazing insights and tips on maximising the impact of your training. As well as being captivating and informative Laurie entertained us and kept us enthralled.

Don't miss this special PD event: The Secrets of Good Training- Maximising Your Training Impact

This workshop is for trainers who want to make an impact, come up with new ideas, think creatively and achieve high energy, high impact training programs that engage & excite their students.It  is focused on teaching top quality ‘brain friendly’ delivery techniques, no matter what your subject area or content, so that learning is accelerated and learners are engaged, excited and motivated to transfer the skills back into the workplace immediately.

This workshop is a Master Class for both experienced trainers and recent graduates of the Cert IV in TAE, so expect to be challenged and to be given practical skills to take your training to a new and exciting brain friendly level!

By the end of the workshop, you will have the skills and knowledge aligned to the Principles of ‘Brain Friendly Learning’:

Keep it Real – make it highly learner and business focused;
State is Everything - get participants into a highly motivated, resourceful state to learn and they will then use this state when applying the information;
Honour Uniqueness and differences - tailor training to the learning needs of participants, and to the unique culture of their organisations;
Make the training Rich and Multi-sensory to aid recall; and                                                                                                                           Have participants create meaning from the information, not just consume it. Then they will use it.

When:  Friday 17 October 2014, 9:00am to 3:30pm EST - (Lunch and refreshments provided)

Where: TCCI Boardroom, 309 Liverpool street, North Hobart
