Applying the new VET e-learning content development guidelines to your teaching and learning practices

Monday, July 21 2014

  • How can the new national VET e-learning guidelines help me to develop customised e-learning resources?
  • What can I produce for learners on PCs, tablets, phones and other mobile devices?

Electronic teaching and learning content is the cornerstone of an effective RTO blended learning strategy. In this webinar we’ll explore applications of the new VET e-learning content development guidelines established in April this year. Developed by the National VET E-Learning Strategy,  the guidelines address a range of issues in e-learning content development including:

  • accessibility
  • content formats (agreed file formats)
  • content packaging (portability)
  • customisation of existing content (Toolboxes, etc)
  • intellectual property (describing attribution)
  • metadata and vocabularies (describing content)
  • minimum hardware and software platforms supporting VET e-learning content for Learner Management Systems, Desktop and mobile platforms, and
  • repositories (distribution, sale and sharing).
