Wow - what a great bunch of winners

Monday, November 25 2013

It was a pleasure to join members of the ACPET Board, a range of ACPET members, and other VET sector stakeholders in Perth on Friday night to celebrate the 2013 Australian Training Awards.

With greater diversity in the Award categories each year, which better reflect the diversity of the sector, it was humbling to see so many ACPET members recognised for their outstanding achievements.

On behalf of the team at ACPET and our members, I offer my congratulations to the following national winners and finalists:

HELP Enterprises (winner Small Training Provider of the Year)

Box Hill Institute (ACPET Partner in Education member, winner International Training Provider of the Year)

Green Business Audit & Training (winner Skills for Sustainability – Educational Institution Award)

Kate Cross - WORKCO Ltd - Longerenong Agricultural College (winner Vocational Student of the Year)

  • Taylorweir International School of Hairdressing (finalist Small Training Provider of the Year)
  • Charlton Brown (finalist International Training Provider of the Year)
  • Sarah Eden - Mater Education Limited (finalist Vocational Student of the Year)
  • Madeline Kline - Industrylink Culinary School of Excellence (finalist Australian School-based Apprentice of the Year Award)
  • Ryan Grant - Kings International College Ltd Excellence (finalist Australian School-based Apprentice of the Year Award)
  • Sharnie Sue Yek - Australian Child Care Career Options (finalist Australian Apprentice (Trainee) of the Year Award)

Well done to a group of high performing students and providers. It is a great privilege to represent you and the invaluable work you do.

I look forward to seeing even more ACPET winners on the podium in future years. And thanks to the team at the Australian Training Awards for organising the retrospective of ACPET winners on the night, to celebrate 20 years of the Training Awards.
