Last one for 2013: How to make VET relevant

Monday, November 25 2013

This webinar explores a range of perspectives on how we can make vocational learning opportunities more relevant.  Based on the findings of research in the neurosciences, medicine and educational psychology, it looks at the importance of learning from day-to-day experiences and explores various ways of learning from others, from the world and from within ourselves.

The presenter will highlight critical aspects of experience and vocational learning and the importance of the scaffolding approach to vocational learning. It provides a summary of important pre-conditions that need to be fulfilled for effective learning and strategies that vocational learners can follow to enhance their learning experiences.

The event concludes with an opportunity for interactive discussion on what training organisations can do to make vocational learning, and VET in particular, more relevant.
