Australia-Taiwan Alumni Awards

Monday, December 3 2018

Providers may wish to consider nominating one of their students for the Australia-Taiwan Alumni Awards (ATAA), which is a high profile initiative organised by the Australian AUSTRADE-DFAT Office in Taipei to recognise the success and contribution of Taiwanese alumni of Australian education institutions to Taiwan and Australia.

There is also a new award category from 2019: the Australia-Taiwan Vocational Education and Training Alumni Award, which will recognise Taiwanese students who pursued VET studies in Australia and then went on to make achievements across a wide range of fields in Australia and Taiwan. They would be expected to have exemplified characteristics of integrity, initiative, innovation and leadership.
The other two existing categories are The Australia-Taiwan Young Alumni Award and The Australia-Taiwan Distinguish Alumni Award.

The awards will be announced and presented at a Gala Dinner to be held on Sunday, 17 March 2019 in Taipei at Shangri-la Far Eastern Plaza Hotel.

Further information about the Award criteria, nominations and the Award Dinner is available from the Austrade MIP newsletter at

Nominations close on 18 January 2019.
