Message from ACPET's National Professional Development Manager
Monday, September 10 2018
Since commencing as ACPET's National Professional Development (PD) Manager in June, I have had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with a number of ACPET members, particularly those who have attended an ACPET webinar or the National Conference in Canberra last month. I am very excited and looking forward to contributing to and enhancing professional development for ACPET members, to align with changing demands of markets and regulators.
Having worked exclusively with different membership organisations over the last 10 years, I understand that the satisfaction and engagement of members is integral to the success of any member industry peak body. To that end, ACPET offers an extensive program of more than 300 webinars on a range of diverse, sector relevant and engaging topics, which members can attend live, or access via archived recording at a later time.
The PD team has been working hard to provide an inspiring calendar for the remainder of 2018, incorporating a different focus each month on the following themes:
- September – Marketing using Social Media
- October – National VET Professional Development week
- November – Engaging with learners with complex needs
If you haven't already seen our webinar calendar for the remainder of the year or are yet to undertake any PD, view our 2018 calendar and 2018 PD webinar library via the links below:
ACPET offers customised solutions to assist members and other sector stakeholders to meet their PD needs, including annual subscriptions (allowing unlimited access to all ACPET webinars), pre-purchased webinar packages as well as individual webinar purchases.
Please email@example.com if you would like to discuss the best option for your organisation.
As we approach the end of 2018, we are excited for what lays ahead. 2019 promises to be an exciting time for professional development with a number of different workshops and initiatives planned. We are always interested in feedback and suggestions from members. Please do get in touch if there is a specific topic, thematic stream or general idea you would like to see incorporated as part of a future PD program.
If you have a few minutes to spare this week, it would be great to hear from you and connect. Do you have ideas on ways we could help build your workforce capability? How can our current PD program better suit your needs? Let us know here.
Finally, if you or any of your colleagues have any queries regarding PD or want to know more about ACPET’s various PD options, please don’t hesitate to contact the PD team on 03 9412 5924 or at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you and I look forward to working with many of you over the coming months.
