As the Year Closes
Monday, December 18 2017
This week I would just like to thank you all for the hard work of 2017.
Yes, it has been another tough one. Tidying up the mess that has constantly greeted us from the failures of VET FEE HELP will still take time and commitment.
As that process continues, I remain amazed by the sheer hard work and dedication of our members. I have attended a number of events over recent weeks and the industry remains resolute and even upbeat about the future.
This is the energy that we need.
In terms of 2018 I have already identified what it will hold. It will be about students first and foremost and about high standards, industry certification and advocacy to introduce a Tertiary Policy framework that will produce the knowledge and skills Australia needs to be globally competitive.
That will not just be about ACPET. It will be about partnerships across education bodies, industry and government and genuine collaboration and drive to make a difference.
I for one look forward to it.
I wish you all a fantastic Christmas and holiday break and hope you all get the chance to spend time with family and friends.
See you in 2018.
