Invitation to meet Philippine delegation - Tuesday 10 October

Monday, October 2 2017

As part of October Business Month activities, a number of high profile Philippine academics will be visiting Darwin, hosted  by Group Training NT (GTNT) and the Australian Skills Institute (ASI) in collaboration with the NT Department of Trade, Business & Innovation and Study NT.

Delegates are from a number of Philippine Universities that have partnered with GTNT and ASI, including the University of MMC CAST, University of Batangas and La Consolacian College.

The intent of the visit is to showcase the NT as a destination of choice for international students, to appraise delegates as to NT culture and on the nuances of the Australian VET sector, as well as visiting a number of local education and training providers.

The delegates will also be joining with local RTO practitioners at the ACPET VET workshops that day at the Oaks in Wood Street.  Registration for this day is now open through the ACPET PD site.

If you have an interest in education and training in the Philippines or perhaps are thinking of going international please join with colleagues for a casual (as in it will be outside and no air-con) get together at Frying Nemo at the Tipperary Waters marina on Tuesday evening, 10 October from 5.00pm – 6.30pm.  It was great to see that Frying Nemo was last week acknowledged as Australia’s Best Fish and Chip take-away restaurant.

Interesting in joining us?  There is no cost for the evening however for catering purposes please confirm to by noon Friday 6 October
