ACPET WA invites you to attend our next breakfast series event with guest speakers Simon Walker, Executive Director, Policy Planning and Innovation, Department of Training and Workforce Development, and Nathan Betley, General Manager, Apprenticeship Support Australia.

- Simon Walker, Executive Director, Policy, Planning and Innovation, Department of Training and Workforce Development
Simon began his career in the public sector as a financial analyst for Central TAFE after starting his career in the private sector. Simon joined the Department of Training in 1997 and has since worked in a variety of senior roles with a particular focus on VET sectoral planning, policy and resourcing.
Simon represents Western Australia on the national Skills Senior Officials Network as well as being a member of the Curtin University School of Economics and Finance Advisory Board, ex-officio member of the Western Australian State Training Board and a Director of the board of the National Centre for Vocational Education and Research.

Nathan joined the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia (CCI) in March 2013 and is the General Manager, Workforce Solutions, which provides him with the responsibility for Apprenticeship Support Australia and CCI’s International Trade and Investment Centre.
Throughout his career at CCI, Nathan has overseen CCI’s Business Training and CCI’s Migration Agency. Nathan has also represented CCI on the State Training Board between 2016 & 2017. Prior to joining CCI, Nathan held various senior roles in Sales and Marketing during a 15 year tenure with Pfizer, a multinational bio-pharmaceutical company.
