Sydney event to showcase the NT to international agents
Monday, August 7 2017
NT and International Agenet event - Sydney Town Hall Lower exhibition space Tuesday September 19 – Tuesday 9.00 – 12.30
There is an opportunity for NT CRICOS registered providers to take direct action in the largest onshore student market in Australia, Sydney. NSW has a large population of students that are in the position to move providers and students that have finished their first stage of studies.
Among education agents there is curiosity about Darwin and the NT but very little information or any promotions from NT providers. CDU has a campus in Broadway and providers such as BCA National and International House have campuses in Sydney.
The proposal is to hold an event of the morning September 19 in the heart of where a majority of education agents have their offices in Sydney. Conservatively there are 200+ offices within 1 km of Town Hall. An event that combines StudyNT, Providers, TourismNT, and MigrationNT would have real impact to generate curiosity to understand what is on offer in the NT.
Agents are time poor but morning events are popular as most business is done after lunch in agent offices.
This event can target Latin American, European, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, and Chinese agents. An incentive could be 3 places in a StudyNT famil trip later in the year.
9.00 Start and Welcome – StudyNT, overview of NT Student wellbeing, life in the NT, the most connected capital in Australia
9.20 - CDU and provider overview 10 minutes each – CDU, BCA National, IH, ICAE and others
10.30 – Morning tea – agents can meet with providers at desks
11.00 - TourismNT – the icons, working holiday advantages in the tropical north
11.30 - MigrationNT – opportunities for students post-graduation
12.00 – Close – further opportunities for networking
The cost would be on a recovery basis with a suggested participation cost for providers of $1000 for an estimated agency turnout 100-150 participants.
