Monday, June 26 2017

Fifteen NT vocational education and training students are currently on a study exchange tour to Shandong Province, China.

The students are from members BCA National Training Group and GTNT as well Charles Darwin University and are enaged in studies in aged care, community service and business leadership.

The two week study exchange will give students an opportunity to undertake short-term study Shandong Foreign Languages Vocational Collage and also learn about the culture and traditions of China. A series of other college and industry visits are also on the agenda.

National’s Regional Training Manager Kirsty Neaylon travelled to China in October 2016 as part of the Education Stream of the NT-Rizhao Joint Economic Cooperation Forum. As a result of the Economic forum a partnership agreement was signed between BCA National and Shandong Foreign Languages Vocational College (SFLVC) that has cumulated in the invitation for BCA National domestic students to visit SFLVC.

Ms Neaylon said the “study exchange is also a great opportunity to strengthen links between the Northern Territory and China through business and education. We’re looking forward to a fantastic experience and to identify further opportunities to advance the ties between China and the NT."

Well done to Study NT for organising this much appreciated exchange.
