Punjab partnership possibilities
Monday, July 18 2016
AVTEG, an Australian invested skill development company based in India, invites potential education partners to an information session in Melbourne on 26 July. Attendees will explore opportunities to be involved in a new Multi Skill Development Centre with placement facility in the Indian State of Punjab.
AVTEG recently won a contract with the Government of Punjab under the Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) to set up, operate and maintain a centre at Hoshiarpur. It will operate as a centre of excellence providing industry oriented skill development programs to over 50,000+ students over 10 years.
Founder and Managing Director of AVTEG, Mr Parampreet Singh says the Multi-Skill Development Centre is just the first step towards helping to change the Indian skill development landscape.
“India needs education and training providers to help harness its demographic dividend as only 2.3% out of the 62% of workforce population in India has received formal training. To fill this skill gap and achieve the vision of a ‘Skilled India’, the government aims to train a minimum of 500 million people by year 2022.”
“We are also looking for training partners to work with us and India’s sector skills councils to set up Model Centers across various sectors”.
These will involve various sectors including:
• Building & Construction
• Renewable Energy
• Media & Entertainment
• Healthcare etc.
To register your interest in attending the information session please contact Parampreet Singh by email at email@example.com.
