SA Government renews support for private providers of International Education - Forum Adelaide 17 March

Monday, February 29 2016

Whether or not you are a CRICOS provider in VET, ELICOS or Higher Education, don't miss this free International Education Networking Forum to be held on 17 March, in partnership with the Department of State Development (DSD), ACPET and Study Adelaide - it's an opportunity not to be missed!

The new Minister responsible for seeking to double SA's share of international  students, Martin Hamilton-Smith, is keen to engage private tertiary education providers to a far greater extent, in recognition of their contribution to the State economy and to take a new, integrated approach to international education in SA. Since he is also the Minister for Small Business and aware of the difficulties the sector is currently experiencing, he is also interested in reducing unnecessary administrative burdens, not only in international education but in other areas as well.

The Minister for Investment and Trade will be addressing providers at the International Education Networking Forum to be held on:

Thursday 17 March from 4pm-6pm at the Stamford Plaza, 150 North Terrace, Adelaide

He will present the SA government plan to strengthen, support and grow SA's international student sector, and Adelaide’s reputation as a leader in delivering a premium education and student experience and he will also speak about the Government’s business mission program.

The forum will provide the opportunity to:
• identify, build and foster international connections and partnerships potentially to form country interest groups
• meet local providers and education institutions over refreshments
• meet potential investment partners
• develop skills and experience in international markets
• enhance international profiles by entering new markets
• better understand regulatory requirements in international markets

You will hear from Study Adelaide regarding its 2016 offshore engagement program, and receive an overview of grants available including the SA Export Partnership Program and the Commonwealth Export Market Development Program. You will also hear from experts on markets in China including Shandong, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Japan and South Korea.

Registration by Friday 11 March is essential. The registration link will be made available shortly.

NB  ACPET is not taking registrations for this event since these are being handled through DSD.
