Launched in January 2012, ACPET’s Professional Development Framework provides consistent, high quality professional development opportunities to assist Colleges identify and pursue new business opportunities and in compliance with tertiary education sector regulatory requirements.

In 2012, over 2,700 tertiary education staff participated in ACPET PD, including ACPET’s annual Conference. All workshops which assist with compliance requirements are mapped to the national quality standards for VET, higher education and international education sectors.

The Framework has four streams:

  1. business development (focused on new business opportunities)
  2. business management and administration
  3. teaching and learning, and
  4. student engagement and support.

In 2013, to cater for all staff needs under these streams, ACPET is introducing its Introduction, Essential, Master Classes and Rapid Refresher series.
ACPET maintains an accreditation system that tracks individual’s and organisation’s professional development activity. This means that you are easily able to provide auditors with a record of all your professional development activities. In addition, participants are rewarded with Peer+ Points and colleges benefit from College Points. The points offer a range of exclusive activities and complementary entries to other ACPET events.
