National Monday Update Issue:
Members would be aware of the recent closure of the Spark Hairdressing Academy in Elizabeth Street, Brisbane.Members would be aware of the recent closure of the Spark Hairdressing Academy in Elizabeth Street, Brisbane.
ACPET is working with both state and federal regulators to ensure a minimum of disruption to the effected domestic and international students and also to ascertain the reasons behind the closure.
ACPET in collaboration with both DEEWR and DET have conducted student meetings and we are pleased to advise that all students will be placed with alternative providers. Members are reminded that the legislative responsibility in the case of the TAS activation rests with ACPET and that placements and offers must be directed through the ACPET national TAS office. If members are approached by students, please have them communicate directly to spark [at] acpet [dot] edu [dot] au. Should you be in contact with students, please also advise them that ACPET has arranged access to the premises to secure their student records and that they also will have access this week to retrieve any personal belongings.
