ACPET NSW RTO members please be advised that VETAB has updated its application guides (Initial, Amendment and Renewal) and website information to reflect the new Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) Essential Conditions and Standards for Initial Registration and Continuing Registration which became effective in NSW from 1 September 2010.

All applications for Initial Registration as an RTO in NSW which are received by VETAB on or after 1 September 2010 will be audited against the new AQTF Essential Conditions and Standards for Initial Registration. All applications for Amendments to Scope and applications for Renewal of Registration which are received by VETAB on or after 1 September 2010 will be audited against the AQTF Essential Conditions and Standards for Continuing Registration. As indicated previously, there are three items which are part of Conditions 5 and 6 of the new AQTF Essential Conditions and Standards (relating to collection of student fees in advance, requirements for a unique student identifier number and provision of AVETMISS compliant data) which will not be implemented until 2011. Further information will be provided at that time.
