aqtf seminar well received in nsw

National Monday Update Issue:

Last Monday, ACPET NSW hosted the AQTF Seminar led by ACPET’s Deputy CEO, Claire Field for NSW members. Well received by over 130 members at Sydney’s Masonic Centre, the seminar provided the background for the development of the AQTF and the key areas of change around initial registration and continuing registration of VET providers.

The seminar provided the opportunity for members to ask questions and seek clarification. The main area of interest for Continuing Registration was on:

  • Condition 2 – Interactions with the Registering Body and statements of financial viability,
  • Condition 5 – Financial Management and
  • Condition 6 – Certification and Issuing of Qualifications and Statements of Attainment with the requirement of RTO’s to have a student records management system able to provide AVETMISS compliant data.

The feedback from members was very positive and paves the way for more sessions around other issues of AQTF, compliance and policy to be held over the coming months.

Claire Field is looking forward to taking the AQTF seminar to other states over the coming weeks.
