National Monday Update Issue: 

Taiwan was Queensland’s fifth largest international student source market in 2009.

Each year over 30,000 Taiwanese students study abroad. Australia remains the third most popular destination behind the United States and the United Kingdom.

Queensland Education and Training International (QETI), in conjunction with Austrade and Australian Education International, have developed a series of market intelligence seminars. As part of this series, Austrade and QETI are pleased to provide you with the opportunity to hear from representatives from Austrade, AEI and DIAC posts in Taiwan, together with Ms Elizabeth Sullivan, the Queensland Government Trade and Investment Commissioner based in Taipei, about current and prospective education and training trends and issues in Taiwan.

Details of the market intelligence seminar for Taiwan are:

Time:    11.15 am for 11.30 am start - 1.00 pm

  • Venue:  Austrade Brisbane (videoconference facilities) - Level 16, CPA Centre, 307 Queen Street, Brisbane

  AND

  • Venue:  Austrade Townsville (videoconference facilities) - State Development and Innovation Centre - Level 1, Enterprise House, 6 The Strand, Townsville

(With possibility of a video conference link at the Tropical North Queensland Institute of TAFE in Cairns - to be advised)

There is also an option to participate in the seminar by telephone (where there is no video access). Connection instructions can be provided upon request.
Places are limited and RSVP is essential. This seminar will follow a roundtable format with a 90 minute shared presentation by the in-market personnel, followed by questions and answers.
