ACPET’s Daisy will make her first public debut for 2010 in King George Square next Monday evening at the ACPET welcome to Claire Field member reception from 5:00pm -7:00pm.
This will be Daisy’s first public outing since her refurbishment by Terry O’Hanlon-Rose and the crew from the Australian Technical and Trade College at Scarborough.
Daisy will head off to the Gold Coast that evening for final scrutineering prior to the commencement of this year’s Port to Port (Southport to Port Douglas) Variety Charity Bash on 29 July.
On her journey up the coast Daisy will be visiting schools in regional centres to distribute sponsor materials and to spread some cheer to students.
Daisy last year was driven by a combination of students, sponsors and member representatives. This year Daisy will be accompanied by ACPET Staffers Michael Hall and Cassie Fitzgerald together with a number of ACPET members assisting including Charlton Brown’s Trevor Ganley, StudyLink’s Roger Bendall, The Australian Technical and Trade College’s Terry O’Hanlon- Rose and Vientiane College’s Peter Maccoll.
Daisy will be travelling through Gympie, Biloela, Emerald, Charters Towers, Innisfail, Tinnaburra and Port Douglas. Any members en route who would like to join in the festivities please contact qld [at] acpet [dot] edu [dot] au (Michael Hall).
