ACPET National Chair Kay Ganley, CEO Andrew Smith together with ACPET Q and NT’s Michael Hall and National Business Manager Nick Oklobdzjia were honored to be guests at the National Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) Awards and Ball in Melbourne on Friday evening.
The theme this year is Unsung Heroes – Closing the Gap by Leading Their Way and recognizes the united effort needed throughout the country to provide a better life and opportunities for indigenous people.
The National NAIDOC Awards recognize outstanding achievements and the contribution of aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders make in their communities and beyond as inspirational role models.
The Awards on the night were a magnificent testament to so many individuals from all corners of the continent who have contributed to raising indigenous issues, helping communities and being informed, active and involved citizens.
