policy in the pub - aqtf: stronger, simpler, smarter?

National Monday Update Issue:

The topic of TVET Australia’s July Policy in the Pub is AQTF: Stronger, Simpler, Smarter?

The event will be held on Monday, 12 July from 4.15pm-6.30pm at the Honey Bar in South Melbourne. The three speakers include Andrew Smith (CEO, ACPET), Andrea Bateman (Director, Bateman & Giles) Allan Ballagh (Director TAFE and Vice-President, RMIT University). The event will be facilitated by TVET Australia CEO, Neil Edwards.

The forum will examine the revised Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) from the perspective of some of the key players who operate within the framework – a private provider association, an auditor (both ESOS and AQTF), and a large TAFE Institute. These roles provide coverage for the full range of domestic and international students (both onshore and offshore).

The purpose of the event is to engage in a frank and open discussion on the new conditions and standards and how far they go in addressing the issues that lead to the revisions.
