National Monday Update Issue:
There are additional changes to the ESOS to improve the regulation of the international education sector.
The changes include:
- provider registration criteria
- outgoing risk-based monitoring
- conditions on providers’ registration
- increasing the range of breaches (financial penalties)
- publishing of industry targets and reporting of regulatory activities
- expanding the role of the Commonwealth Ombudsman for external complaints relating to providers.
