  1. ACPET-DFEEST Workshop - Implications of Skills for Sustainability for RTOs and VET practitioners

The Green Skills Agreement Implementation Plan is due for implementation by providers from 1 July 2010. Skills for Sustainabilityare being progressively integrated into Training Packages, which practitioners will be required to deliver in the very near future. Increasingly providers will also need to demonstrate sustainable work practices when applying for contestable funding from a range of government sources.

Come and find out what this means for RTOs and for VET practitioners. You will hear about what ACPET and TAFE SA are doing to support Green Skills implementation and also from the schools sector how they have been implementing sustainable work practices and achieving considerable savings and efficiencies in the process.

"Focusing on the importance of assessment for the quality outcomes in education and training"
 
The Innovative and Professional Practice in Assessment forum is a full day, not-for-profit forum bringing the whole of South Australian VET sector together to learn, to share, to be informed of the latest developments in the area of assessment in education and training.
 
The program is designed to encourage innovative practice in assessment, present information about Assessment for learning and provide attendees with strategies to apply flexible assessment methodologies in their daily work.

The Australian Flexible Learning Framework will also provide interactive e-learning experiences and presentations. Hot topic discussions and networking opportunities aim to engage and expand connectivity with industry and training providers who are passionate about innovative and quality assessment practices.

The program of peer mentor volunteers has been running for more than eight years and student evaluation and feedback has indicated the high value that students place on such support programs.
