1. Horticulture students hit the catwalk at ACPET member college
More than 50 Imperial College of Trades students put their best foot forward last week as the ACPET member held its Mr. and Miss Imperial College of Trades Pageant last week.
The contest saw students hit the catwalk in western and traditional Indian clothing, and impressed the judges with their talent. Throughout the three-hour long contest, the judges were entertained by other students with bhangra (Punjabi folk dance) and poetry.
After an exciting afternoon of entertainment and awards in a range of fun categories Mr. Sukhdeep Dhaliwal and Miss Jasmine were crowned Mr. and Miss Imperial College.
The judging panel included honorable Ret. Major General Vikram Madan (President of Indian Australian Association of South Australia), Mr. Mintu Brar (famous writer) and Mr. Sumit Tandon (prominent senior journalist for The Daily, Australia and foreign correspondent for Rozana Spokesman, India).

2. Managing Cultural Diversity Training Program
The Australian Multicultural Foundation and Robert Bean Consulting have developed the Managing Cultural Diversity Training Program (MCD Training) to enable small and medium enterprises to better understand cultural diversity and how to manage it effectively to improve workplace relationships, teamwork, productivity, market knowledge, community relationships, customer service and competitiveness.
