National Monday Update Issue: 

 

The Northern Territory Government has launched its new employment strategy, Jobs NT. Business and Employment Minister, Rob Knight, said Jobs NT builds on the achievements of Jobs Plan, and sets the vision for the Northern Territory workforce for the next three years. The Territory has a growing economy and the government  has set the target of 10,000 trainee and apprentice commencements over Jobs NT.

This initative and a wealth of other sesssions of interest to business, community and training organaisations will be discussed at the 2010 ACPET Skilling Northern Australia Forum being held at Skycity on Wednesday and Thursday. 

Registrations are still being accepted for the forthcoming ACPET Over The Top Skilling Northern Australian Forum being held next week in sunny Darwin.

A two day forum focusing on matters relating to skilling, training, professional development, student engagement and workforce planning in Northern Australia.

Delegates will hear from industry, training sector experts and government officials, as well as opportunities to engage in professional discussions and networking activities. Public and private education and training organisations, teachers, adult students and industry stakeholders are all welcome.
