ACPET National Conference Program launched
The ACPET National Conference has a reputation as the pre-eminent Conference for those engaged with post-compulsory education and training in Australia. In Melbourne this year, we expect this reputation to be confirmed with a range of high quality speakers set to challenge and inform delegates.
Likely to coincide with the early stages of a federal election, the Conference program includes stimulating and strategically focused keynote addresses and panel discussions delivered by experts drawn from the private sector, the community and Government.
The keynote program will be supported by an extensive range of parallel and concurrent sessions focused on education and training policy, business sustainability, social inclusion and the broader international perspective. The program will provide valuable information across a range of themes including leadership, higher education, vocational education and training, business development and international education.
Expected to attract over 450 delegates from across Australia and our region, the ACPET National Conference provides extensive networking opportunities for delegates. Those attending the conference will be able to meet other providers, share information and experience and establish mutually beneficial partnerships across a range of areas.
The conference format in 2010 will be slightly different than previous years with Conference sessions and the exhibition to be held over 2 days on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 August. A Networking Reception will be held on Thursday 26 August and the Conference Dinner will be held on Friday 27 August in the new Crown Conference Centre. The formal Conference program will be preceded by optional master classes on Wednesday 25 August.
Full details and a copy of the conference program are available on the ACPET National Conference website at www.acpetconference.info
I look forward to welcoming you and our international guests to Melbourne in August and hope to enjoy your fellowship in what is both a challenging time and a time of opportunity for many engaged with private education and training in Australia.
