At the gala Victorian Professional Photography Awards night - Australia’s peak photography industry association, the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) awarded PSC student Deb Mullins the 2010 AIPP Victorian Photography Student of the Year.

This annual event brings together the best of the professional photographers in Victoria and recognises excellence in all areas of commercial photography, including photojournalism. In addition to this, due to the industry’s ongoing commitment to the importance of photographic education, these awards also include and acknowledge excellence in the education and training sector. Eligible entrants for the photographic education awards come from the university and vocational education sector right across Victoria.

The 2010 winning entries from professional photographers and students will be showcased in an upcoming exhibition at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in June.
