National Monday Update Issue: 

Federal Budget 2010-2011

On Tuesday 11 May, the Federal Government handed down its 2010-2011 Budget.

After numerous pre-budget announcements foreshadowed the major components of the budget, most Members will already be familiar with the centrepieces of the 2010-2011 Budget, which included substantial spending on health and medical initiatives but otherwise restrained spending, alongside tax and superannuation reforms.
 
The announcement of greatest significance to ACPET members was the Government’s commitment of $661 million to boost skills training in order to meet skills shortages across many industries.
