call for tafe institutes advisory council members

National Monday Update Issue: 

Queensland TAFE Institutes (non-statutory) are looking for people with strong industry and/or community backgrounds to serve in a voluntary capacity on one of eleven Institute Advisory Councils across the state for a 3 year term commencing July 2010.

The role of an Institute Council is to support vocational education and training through the institute, advise and report on the activities of the institute to the Institute Director and the Minister and to develop and approve institute directions.

Nominations are welcome and no experience is necessary however skills and/or experience in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage:

·        Accounting

·        Human Resource Management

·        Contract Law

·        Risk Management

·        Strategic Planning

·        Business Management
