On Friday Lisa Materano (Chair ACT Committee) and Frank Sette (ACPET ACT Executive Officer) met with the Executive Director - Tertiary and International Education ACT Government to further discuss the issue of lack of payment for PPP and User Choice funding.

Following this meeting it can be advised that the ACT Government has accepted ACPET’s recommendation to engage an independent administrator to review the failings of the ACT Government regarding the payment process for RTOs, and to implement solutions.

The ACT Government is now willing to immediately provide outstanding payments to RTOs for money that has been withheld. Furthermore the Minister’s office has been advised of the additional administrative burden that has been placed on Members under the current system and is considering how best to accommodate Members that have been adversely affected.
