victorian state training awards seminar 14 april 2010

National Monday Update Issue:

On Wednesday 14 April, 9.30 a.m. – 11.00 a.m. ACPET in conjunction with Skills Victoria ran a seminar specifically for ACPET members on the application and nomination process.

Disappointingly, only a few members took advantage of this tailored session however those that did attend can attest that the session was a great success. Participants had a chance to interact with the judging co-ordinators and Skills Victoria people which enabled them to gaining great insight into the entire process. This included how judges view applications, the type of categories that maybe suitable to enter, how to encourage students and employers to get involved as well as the best way to write applications.

Also discussed was the side benefits of entering for both RTOs and students and the opportunities that winners get to compete at the Australian Training Awards without having to re-enter.

A reminder that Nominations close 13 May 2010.
