The third Flexible Learning Toolbox Professional Development Workshop for 2010 will be offered on Tuesday, May 11, 8am –9.30am at CIT’s Southside Campus, Phillip (Lab B016, B Block ground floor).
This workshop will provide practical skills in Customising Toolboxes and Toolboxes Learning objects to better meet the needs of your students. Toolbox resources are designed to be customised and designed so that teachers and trainers can make simple but effective changes to make the resource more relevant and appealing to their specific student cohort - text and images can be replaced, new documents added or existing ones altered. Come along and see how easy it can be with free software such as Komposer and Irfanview.
Could you bring a thumb drive (memory stick) with you so you can take away copies of the free editing software which we will be using at the workshop. Please bring a photo on your thumb drive of yourself ( or your pet or a family member: whoever you feel would benefit most from being immortalised in your Toolbox learning object! ) in jpeg format if possible. We will be using this image to replace images in Toolbox resources. Don’t hesitate to download Komposer and Irfanview to your thumb drive prior to the workshop.
