Melburnians will remember that young ladies wishing to forge a career, started with a secretarial qualification at Hales Institute.
100 years later, Hales Institute in Swanston Street, Melbourne had grown to international status and was on the brink of closing when the owners decided to reinvest in other property portfolios.
MEGT (Australia) Ltd, a Registered Training Organisation based in Melbourne and with campuses in Sydney, has stepped in to support Hales and took ownership on 25 March 2010.
The 900 students studying Hairdressing, IT, Hospitality (Commercial Cookery & Patisserie), Business and ELICOS have been guaranteed continuation of their courses with high quality facilities and trainers.
“We are very strict on compliance and student welfare,” stated David Windridge, CEO and Director of MEGT. “Our primary focus is on ensuring students have a high quality experience in their life journey with Hales Institute and MEGT.”
“MEGT’s experience as a Registered Training Organisation includes working with some of Australia’s largest employers, offering work-place education, as well as nationally accredited vocational training that is fully compliant with the Australian Quality Training Framework.”
“We are continuing the Hales tradition of quality skills education and plan to increase the participation of local students.”
