Implementing the Educational Services (Post Secondary Education) Award 2010 and National Employment Standards is not an easy feat; Interpretation and application of the modern Awards have raised a range of questions among members, particularly around hours, coverage, classification and transition.
No doubt there are more questions to explore!
The next step is a further workshop; to assist ACPET members to better understand and implement the new requirements, how to communicate with staff and how to deal with the regulators should this occur. Transitional arrangements will also be explored.
In this upcoming workshop, we are fortunate to be joined by Charles Power, Partner, Accredited Workplace Relations Specialist, Holding Redlich, who has an extensive knowledge of the education sector as well as being the Editor-in-Chief of the Employment Law Practical Handbook. Charles is a former associate to a Senior Deputy President of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission and a former senior adviser to a federal government minister
This forum is designed specifically for our sector and to provide practical workplace relations information in relation to:
Participants will be encouraged to participate and share their experiences and questions. Limited places so book early to avoid missing out!
