dfeest productivity places program (ppp) for job seekers

National Monday Update Issue:

The 2010 South Australian Productivity Places Program (PPP) for Job Seekers is now open!

DFEEST is inviting employers, industry bodies, enterprises, employment service providers and Registered Training Organisations to apply for the funds to train job seekers in nationally endorsed qualifications at Certificate II, Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma levels. Guidelines and application form are available on the PPP website from today.

This second round for Job Seekers will allocate approximately $ 4.5 million and is targeted to industry sector skill priorities. A list of current priority areas and qualifications is available on the Productivity Places Program website.

Proposals will be required to demonstrate how the proposal will engage Job Services Australia providers and show an understanding of the Job Services Australia provider’s role. Employment outcomes are a priority, and applications will be assessed on the evidence for work placement programs and existing relationships with employers to facilitate this.

Successful proposals will target skills in demand. The priority sectors and qualifications listed in the application documents on the website will be prioritised.
Applicants are also urged to provide evidence of additional learning and social supports to help ensure the highest possible level of training completion.
Some places will be targeted to meet special needs of Indigenous people and regional areas, those with disabilities, retrenched workers and unemployed youth.

For further information on application guidelines, telephone (08) 8207 8767 or view online information via www.dfeest.sa.gov.au/ppp.
