acpet meets with deputy prime minister
National Monday Update Issue:
ACPET National Chair, Kay Ganley and Andrew Smith, ACPET CEO, met with Julia Gillard last week to discuss a number of issues of importance to ACPET members.
During the meeting we took the opportunity to reinforce the vital contribution made by ACPET members in building Australia’s productivity, meeting the skills needs of the economy and producing vital export income.
Our discussions covered the higher education, VET and international education policy areas and ACPET sought specific commitments in each of these areas on behalf of our members. This week’s In Focus column provides a report on the outcomes of the meeting.
