esos re-registration information sessions (nsw) – thursday, 25 march - all cricos providers in higher education, vet, elicos and the school sector

ACPET CRICOS Providers are advised of the following information including the invitation to attend information sessions.

On 22 February 2010 the Commonwealth Parliament passed the new Education Services for Overseas Students Amendment (Re-registration of Providers and Other Measures) Bill 2009 which received royal assent on 22 February 2010. The ESOS Amendment Act has now taken effect.

The legislation requires the Commonwealth and State/Territory governments to take a nationally consistent risk-managed approach to re-registration.

The legislation requires that all providers currently registered on the Commonwealth Register for Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) must be re-registered by 31 December 2010.

You are invited to attend an information session which has been organised to explain all aspects of the re-registration process, for all NSW CRICOS providers delivering in the Higher Education, VET, ELICOS and School sectors. There will be two sessions to explain the assessment process that will be used for all NSW CRICOS providers to re-register.

Session: A - for ELICOS, School and Higher Education providers

Session: B - for VET providers including Interstate RTOs
Date: Thursday, 25 March 2010
Time: 11:00am - 12:30pm

1. Please attend the information session before you complete the application form for re-registration that is now available in PRISMS.
2. If you are an RTO and Higher Education provider please attend Session A.
