The New Focus report that ACPET commissioned late last year identified that members would appreciate more networking and an opportunity to have their opinions heard.
While ACPET Q conducts a wealth of PD and related activities, it is acknowledged that often members are provided with sessions and information, but often do not have a chance to provide input or to catch up with colleagues...
So now all our PD activities will also incorporate the ACPET Network Nineties - 90 minutes of time for you to mingle, debate or just chill with others. These events will be held either prior (as breakfasts) or after an afternoon activity (with wine and cheese).
The first of these sessions were held in Cairns last week, after the two VET Futures events that were presented by Lesley Weymss and Allan Bonsall.
Members would have seen in last week’s Monday Update the Q article on the first of our “have your say’ sessions. The idea here is quite simple – we need to hear from members as to what you expect from ACPET as your representative association and what are your current issues or concerns.
Future editions will provide further information on forthcoming sessions so if there is an issue that you feel would benefit from a group discussion feel free to suggest one.
These sessions are held under Chatham House Rule (when a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed).
