National Monday Update Issue:
Congratulations to the Billy Blue College of Design (BBCD) graduand Sarita Walsh, this year’s winner of the Design Institute of Australia’s (DIA) ‘Graduate of the Year NSW’ award and the ‘Student of the Year’ award.
Stiff competition came from UNSW, ANU, Enmore Tafe, UTS among others.
Think Colleges were well represented with Interior Design and Colour awards in the Graphic Design category, won by the Commercial Arts Training College.
This is the second time that a BBCD graduate has won the quinella of DIA awards, following graduand, Serhart Ferhat in 2008.
Congratulations also go to the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, winner of the QANTAS Australian Tourism 2009 award for Tourism Education and Training.
The achievements of our private colleges are well deserving of recognition for the dedication of their teaching staff and commitment of their students many of who go on achieve great things in their industry.
