Today – the 8 March – is International Women’s Day. It is indeed a time to reflect on the journey, the achievements and the ‘where to from here’.
Education and training is one of the few industry areas where women play a commanding role, and indeed a majority of private institutions are controlled and managed by women. There is still some way to go in other areas and our congratulations must go to ACPET member and AIM CEO Carolyn Barker and her crew for an amazing celebration at the Brisbane Convention Centre on Friday with 600 of their closest friends.
ACPET EO Michael Hall was one of the privileged males present to witness the energy and to rejoice in a day or entertainment, debate and theatrics. This annual event does not cease to impress and this is now one of the Brisbane ‘must do’ events.
ACPET was well represented at the event by members too numerous to mention here, but we can only reinforce the significance of this event and invite you all to be there next year.
While those attending managed to have a wonderful day, it was also great to see a number of charities also being beneficiaries – including the Variety Charity which ACPET is again supporting this year through our car ‘Daisy’.
Well done AIM
