minister verity firth launches 2010 nsw training awards

National Monday Update Issue:

On Wednesday 17 February, the NSW Training Awards was launched by the Minister for Education and Training, Verity Firth.

With the growing importance of vocational training in enhancing the state’s prosperity, these awards play a critical role in the economic landscape by encouraging and celebrating excellence in skills development.

Melinda Larkin from ACPET attended the launch and welcomed the opportunity to meet not only with the Minister but also with the outstanding and exceptional students who represented NSW at the 2009 National Training Awards in Canberra, late last year.

ACPET is proud to once again be involved in this important program by sponsoring the 2010 NSW Training Awards for the award category, Small Training Provider of the Year.

ACPET encourages ACPET NSW members to get involved and ‘have a go’ – nominate one of your students or your organisation; and showcase what the private sector does well!

For organisations, winning an award showcases you as a best practice leader in vocational education and raises your profile in the community....
Benchmark College is testament to this; they were the proud winners of the 2009 Small Training Provider of the Year! Again Congratulations to Philip and Bridget Carroll and their team!
