increased availability for traineeships

In a pilot program launched by DTWD and State training Council last week, minimum hours for traineeships in the WA Aged Care, Disability and Community Care sectors, will be reduced from 20 hours per week to 15.

This will potentially allow for a greater number of people who work part-time in the community services sector to become eligible to undertake a traineeship.

The pilot will be implemented across two years and focus exclusively on six traineeships: Aged Care Work (levels 3 and 4), Disability Services (levels 3 and 4), and Community Care (levels 3 and 4).
