Privacy Policy

If you log on to any of our sites, we will only use the information you provide us with to respond to your requests and provide you with information about ACPET services. Whenever you receive information from us, either electronically or in hard copy, you will always have an opportunity to request not to receive the information again and your wishes will be respected.

Personal information will only be retained for as long as necessary to answer your query or as required by law. We do not share personal information with third parties except as necessary to carry out our business or as required by law or other legal processes. We do not sell personal information. Your personal details may be transferred between ACPET offices, but only as necessary to meet your requirements. All personnel with access to personal information have been trained to maintain its confidentiality.

When you visit any part of our sites we collect statistical data about that visit (e.g. what you looked at, the way in which you moved around the site etc) which is not personally identifiable. We use this information to make our sites more useful and easily navigable.

Terms and Conditions for event registrations

  • Registration is required no later than 24 hours prior to the event
  • Registrations lodged after this time cannot be guaranteed
  • Late registrations may result in non-provision of event materials or catering supplies. In these instances event materials will be forwarded to delegates after the event
  • Payments can only be made using Visa or MasterCard
  • Confirmation of your registration will be issued upon full payment
  • You will be notified of any changes to event details by email or telephone

Cancellation policy

Please advise us if you are unable to attend a professional development event by emailing pdinfo@acpet.edu.au.

When written notification is received five working days prior to the event:

  • refunds will be issued
  • replacement delegates will be accepted and the ACPET Peer+ points allocated to the new delegate
  • delegates can transfer to other events open for registration
  • credit notes will not be issued.

When written notification is received less than five working days before the event:

  • refunds will not be issued
  • replacement delegates will be accepted and the ACPET Peer+ points allocated to the new delegate
  • delegates are not able to transfer to other events open for registration, and
  • credit notes will not be issued.

Photography and filming consent for adults over 18 years of age

By registering for an event you agree that the Australian Council of Private Education and Training (ACPET) may take photographs and film footage of you at the above event, and may use the photographs and/or film footage for the Council's promotional and/or commercial purposes, including for use on the Council's website. You agree that filmed material may be reproduced for those purposes, as film, audio or written quotation.

The photographs and footage will be used by the Council only and will not be released to any external parties. You accept the risk that photographs and/or film footage of you may be lifted off the Council's website or taken from a Council brochure or other publication, and reproduced on Facebook or other web sites or elsewhere, or otherwise communicated or made available to the public or sections of the public.

Should you not wish to have your photo taken, you are at liberty to request that your image not be included.
